As we approach Holy Week (Sun, March 29, 2026 - Sun, Apr 5, 2026), we enter a time of reflection, gratitude, and deep remembrance of Jesus’ journey to the cross and His victory over death. It’s a week filled with powerful moments—Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, Good Friday, and the joy of Easter morning.

If you’re looking for ways to help your children understand and experience the meaning of Holy Week, here are a few simple ideas:

Read the Easter Story Together – Walk through the Gospels as a family, taking time to pause and talk about each moment.
Use Hands-On Activities – Crafts, coloring pages, or a simple storytelling wheel can help little ones connect with the story in a meaningful way.
Have Quiet Moments for Prayer – Set aside time to pray together. You might choose a simple prayer focus for each day of Holy Week - praise on Palm Sunday, gratitude and humility midweek, forgiveness on Good Friday, trust on Saturday, and joy on Easter. Keeping it simple helps kids see the week as a journey toward the cross and the empty tomb.
Celebrate the Joy of Easter Morning! – Whether it’s through a special breakfast, songs of praise, or a sunrise walk, make Easter morning a time of joy. Our kids will see our excitement!
