Join Me on My Frugal Home Makeover Journey!

Hello fellow frugal friends,

I hope this message finds you all thriving and finding joy in the little things, even amidst the chaos of daily life! As many of you know, my family made the big move in the suburbs (outside DC) over four years ago. Space here comes at a premium, and with our bustling family of seven squeezed into a three-bedroom home, moving was becoming a must!

The onset of COVID-19 marked a new chapter for us as we ventured into remodeling a larger, yet older home that was crying out for some TLC. It was a whirlwind of DIY projects—from wallpapering built-in bookshelves to painting our staircase and updating our lighting. However, like many big undertakings, not everything on my wishlist made the cut during that hectic time.

Our current home challenge? Mismatched and paint-covered door knobs, and walls drenched in an overwhelming shade of blue that I've grown weary of. With the help of a color consultant, we're transitioning to a more harmonious flow from room to room. And yes—I've decided to boldly paint all our doors black and refresh the hardware, keeping our budget tightly in check.

I'm excited to share each step of this journey with you and would love to hear your tips and tricks, as well! Meanwhile, check out some of my home-improvement blog posts for inspiration and practical advice:

Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to share your own experiences. Let's make our homes beautiful together, one cost-effective project at a time!

XO - Ashley
