“Go Spread It” with This PB&J Gospel Craft

Hi friends,

I created this new PB&J Gospel Craft with my own kids in mind. As a mom, I’ve seen how much deeper truth sinks in when children aren’t just hearing or seeing—but doing. Crafting the Good News enables kids to integrate visual and auditory learning into kinetic experiences, and Scripture has a way of seeping into their hearts through hands-on activities.

The inspiration came from a simple moment with my son Elijah. The other weekend, he brought home his class mascot, a stuffed goldfish named Peaches. Peaches came everywhere with us—soccer, the beach, even church. At church, Eli asked me if it was okay to talk about Jesus at his new school.

You see, last year when he shared the gospel at his school (outside of DC), he was asked to “talk about Jesus differently,” because not everyone shared his beliefs. While we were proud of him and told the school immediately, the experience left him a little quieter about his faith. In our new state, the presence of the church in schools is more visible. Eli's question reminded me that wherever they are, our children are little missionaries in their own mission fields.

In response to his question, I reminded him, “Yes, you can talk about Jesus anywhere. And if you get sent to the principal’s office every day for sharing your faith, I’ll be right picking you up with a hug and sharing my own testimony of faith.” His grin said it all.

This is why I made the PB&J Gospel Craft—so kids like Elijah (and yours, too!) can practice sharing the Gospel message in a way that feels fun, memorable, and bold. Each sandwich layer—jelly, peanut butter, bread—represents a part of the Gospel: God’s love, our sin and need for forgiveness, Jesus’ sacrifice, and the call to share the Good News.

This weekend only, take an additonal 25% off with code GOODNEWS25.

I pray this activity not only gives kids a fun keepsake but also the courage to share their faith boldly with others.

XO - Ashley

Good morning Reader! Here’s a small shift I’ve been trying in my prayer life — and it’s made a bigger difference than I expected. When I sit down to pray, distracting thoughts sneak in fast. You know the “oh look, a squirrel” kind of distraction. I’ll start praying, and suddenly I’m thinking about laundry, a conversation from yesterday, something on my to-do list… anything but what I meant to focus on. The other day I was telling a friend that I often find myself praying for the same kids...
